Red Ochre
Red Ochre is a common substance, and its abundance made it a common piece of early human life. Archaeologists have found ochre at paleolithic sites throughout the world. This specimen is a dusting of red ochre encased in acrylic, arranged to look like a stroke of pigment against a cave wall.
