Northern Leopard Frog (Lithobates pipiens, formerly Rana pipiens) is a smooth-skinned, green, brown frog covered with large, oval dark spots. A large northern leopard frog is about 4.5 inches in length. Females are slightly larger than the males. They require aquatic habitats and is found throughout most of Canada and the U.S. This desiccated specimen was found in a shed and partially eaten by scavengers.
