Eastern Screech Owl

The eastern screech owl (Megascops asio), is a small owl that is relatively common in Eastern North America, from Canada to Mexico. This species resides in most types of woodland habitats and is adaptable to developed areas. It is nocturnal and feeds on insects and rodents.
