Little Men” or “Life at Plumfield with Jo’s Boys
“Little Men” or “Life at Plumfield with Jo’s Boys” was written by Louisa May Alcott (1832 – 1888) and originally published in 1871. This edition was published in 1937 by the World Juvenile Library. This book reprises characters from Alcott’s earlier novel, “Little Women” and acts as a sequel. The story revolves around Josephine (Jo) Bhaer, her husband, and the various children at Plumfield Estate School. It recounts the life of Jo, the second and most temperamental of the March sisters, who is now married with two sons of her own and runs an informal school at Plumfield, where she cares for twelve rescued orphan boys.
